Old School has shipped six quests in 2026 so far, and a seventh is coming in November. Here is every one, what it needs, what it gives, and whether it is worth doing now. For step-by-step walkthroughs of any quest, use the full quest guide library.

The Ides of Milk (25 February)
- Difficulty: Novice, free-to-play
- Requirements: none
- Rewards: 1 Quest point, access to Brutus the cow boss, Cowbell amulet, and a magic lamp giving 1,000 XP in any combat skill, including Prayer
The first new F2P quest in years, built as a low-level boss unlock in the spirit of Scurrius. If you play free-to-play or want an easy Prayer lamp, do it immediately — there are no requirements at all.
The Red Reef (20 May)
- Difficulty: Experienced, members
- Requirements: 52 Sailing and 48 Smithing (neither boostable), plus Troubled Tortugans and Pandemonium
- Rewards: 2 Quest points, 15,000 Sailing XP, 5,000 Smithing XP, Red Rock access, Sacred Grove access, and the Bosun's workbench schematic
Tortugan series quest #2. The 15,000 Sailing XP is the real prize if you are pushing Sailing, and it unlocks the Sacred Grove.
It involves ship combat, so bring cannons or Ranged/Magic gear. See our Sailing Guide for training around it.
The Blood Moon Rises (30 June)
- Difficulty: Grandmaster, members, Myreque #6
- Requirements: Slayer 74, Woodcutting 74, Smithing 72, Cooking 72, Fletching 70, Mining 66, Hunter 65, Crafting 64, Herblore 64, Magic 57 (none boostable), plus A Night at the Theatre and Sins of the Father
- Rewards: 4 Quest points, the Vampyrium region, the Maggot King solo boss, four skilling activities, and new BiS gear
The biggest quest of the year. It adds an entire region with its own death mechanics, a repeatable boss, and upgrades like the Necklace of Rupture. Read our full Blood Moon Rises guide before you start — the requirements are steep and the region is hostile.
Fallen From Grace (29 July)
- Difficulty: Experienced, members
- Requirements: 62 Sailing, 60 Crafting, 47 Runecraft, 53 Mining
- Rewards: 2 Quest points, Wyrmscraig access, Mad Angel boss, Mortimer the Slayer master, Sunstone Golem Crafting, and Goat Hunting

A Ruff Situation (8 September)
- Difficulty: Novice, members
- Requirements: 15 Crafting
- Rewards: 1 Quest point, a puppy that grows into one of 12 dog breeds, and a grown dog that digs Treasure Trail steps for you
The dog replaces your spade on clue runs, which makes this a genuinely useful unlock for clue hunters. Full walkthrough and the breed list in our A Ruff Situation guide.
Crab Quest (8 September)
- Difficulty: Intermediate, members
- Requirements: 40 Sailing, 30 Fishing
- Rewards: 1 Quest point, small XP, and a crustacean conversation you cannot unhear
A Game Jam flavour quest with no major unlocks. Do it between boat-fishing runs — it pairs well with the Dognose Island area. See our Boat Fishing guide.
Coming in November: The Graveyard
- Difficulty: Master, members
- Requirements: TBC; continues the Olaf's Quest story
- Rewards: A new 65-80 Agility course intended to be the best Marks of Grace source in the game, the Giant Squirrel as a pet option, the Fremennik Graceful ornament kit, and cosmetic sails
This is the one to plan around. The course is a hybrid of traditional rooftop mechanics and a high-intensity stepping-stone route, with 65,000-75,000 XP/hr and 30+ Marks of Grace per hour at the top end. Read our Graveyard guide for the full breakdown.
How to Plan Around 2026 Quests
- Do The Ides of Milk first. Zero requirements, free Prayer XP.
- Chain the Sailing quests. Pandemonium → Troubled Tortugans → The Red Reef → Fallen From Grace gives steady Sailing XP and unlocks Mortimer.
- Check your stats before Grandmasters. The Blood Moon Rises needs ten non-boostable skills; use the Skill Calculators to plan.
- Prioritise A Ruff Situation if you hunt clues. The digging dog is a permanent quality-of-life upgrade.
- Bank 65-80 Agility before November.
