Complete 1-99 Training Guide | Updated 2026

📑 Table of Contents
🆕 Recent Changes
May 2024 - Agility Rework
Agility received a major rework making early-game training more accessible. Key changes include:
- Draynor Rooftop Course now available from level 1
- Marks of Grace added to more courses
- More linear leveling progression
- Improved early-game experience rates
January 2025 - Run Energy System Rework
The run energy system received a complete overhaul:
- Faster energy regeneration at all levels, especially lower levels
- Energy drain now influenced by BOTH weight AND Agility level
- Higher Agility levels now significantly more impactful
- Graceful outfit less essential than before (still useful in niche scenarios)
💡 Important: Training Agility is now more valuable than ever! Your Agility level directly impacts how long you can run, making it crucial for all activities.
🏃 Why Train Agility?
Agility is one of the most useful skills in Old School RuneScape. Your Agility level directly impacts:
⚡ Energy Drain
Higher Agility = slower energy drain = run longer distances
🔋 Energy Regeneration
Higher Agility = faster energy restoration = less downtime
Even reaching level 50 Agility will have a massive impact on your gameplay compared to running around with level 1 Agility. Every player should train Agility - the earlier the better!
📚 Useful Information
📜 Recommended Quests
These quests can help you skip early Agility levels:
The Tourist Trap
Rewards two lamps that can skip you from level 1-26 Agility. Faster than training manually!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDThe Grand Tree
Rewards 7,900 Agility XP, instantly taking you to level 32!
⭐ Marks of Grace
Many Agility courses (especially rooftop courses) reward players with Marks of Grace. These randomly spawn around courses and can be traded for pieces of the Graceful Outfit. Marks of Grace are essential for players wanting the full Graceful set.
👕 Graceful Outfit
The Graceful outfit consists of weight-reducing items. The full set provides:
- -25kg weight reduction
- 30% faster run energy restoration (set effect)
- Costs 260 Marks of Grace for the complete set
⚠️ Meta Change: Since the January 2025 run energy rework, Graceful is less essential than before. Your Agility level now has a much bigger impact on run regeneration. Focus on leveling Agility first, Graceful second.
🥧 Best Agility Food: Summer Pies
You take falling damage from failing obstacles, so always bring food. Summer Pies are the best choice because:
- 2 bites per pie, healing 11 HP each
- +5 temporary Agility level boost
- 10% energy restoration
💡 Pro Tip: You only need the level requirement for the FIRST obstacle. Boost with Summer Pies to access higher-level courses early!
🎯 Recommended 1-99 Agility Path
This path prioritizes XP and fast leveling over collecting Marks of Grace. This is the recommended path after the run energy changes.
Level 1-20: Draynor Village Rooftop
START HEREThanks to the Agility rework, Draynor Rooftop is now available from level 1! A quick and easy start to your Agility training.
Level 20-60+: Brimhaven Agility Arena
BEST XPBetween levels 20-60, Brimhaven Arena offers FAR better XP than any rooftop course. Your XP scales with your level, so you can even stay until 99 if you wish!
How It Works:
- Every 60 seconds, a dispenser becomes active (yellow arrow)
- Reach the active dispenser to get XP tickets + shop vouchers
- Spam obstacles during downtime for extra XP
- Obstacles unlock at levels 1, 20, and 40
💡 Pro Tip: Use the Runelite detached camera plugin to freeze your camera, then spam-click the center to continuously repeat obstacles during downtime!
Level 60-70: Seers Village Rooftop
At level 60, consider moving from Brimhaven to Seers Village, especially if you have the Hard Kandarin Diary completed.
📖 Hard Diary: Unlocks the ability to teleport to Seers Village bank at the end of the course, significantly increasing XP rates!
Level 70-80: Pollnivneach Rooftop
A solid rooftop course for the 70s. Decent Marks of Grace rates if you're still working on Graceful.
Level 75-90: Prifddinas Rooftop (Optional)
OPTIONALIf you've completed Song of the Elves, Prif is an excellent alternative to Brimhaven or Rellekka. Earns approximately 45 crystal shards per hour instead of Marks of Grace.
Good for players who need crystal shards or are tired of Brimhaven!
Level 80-90: Rellekka Rooftop
Rellekka offers great XP rates with the Fremennik Hard Diary completed. A smaller, more compact course compared to Prif.
Without the Hard Diary, Brimhaven or Prifddinas are better choices.
Level 90-99: Ardougne Rooftop
FINAL STRETCHThe best rooftop course in the game (aside from Hallowed Sepulchre). No diary requirements! This is where you'll finish your Agility journey.
🎉 Congratulations on nearly maxing Agility!
👕 Graceful Path (Alternative)
This path is for players who want to unlock the Graceful outfit as quickly as possible, prioritizing Marks of Grace over XP. Note that this is slower than the main path.
Level 1-20: Draynor Rooftop
Same as the main path - start here to begin collecting Marks of Grace from level 1.
Level 20-30: Al Kharid Rooftop
Level 30-40: Barbarian Outpost
Requires Alfred's Barcrawl mini-quest. Can boost from level 30 with Summer Pies.
Level 40+: Canifis Rooftop (Until Graceful Complete)
BEST MARKSCanifis has the highest Marks of Grace rate until level 90. Stay here until you have the full Graceful set (260 marks).
You'll reach approximately level 60 Agility by the time you complete Graceful here.
Level 50-60: Falador Rooftop
If you want better XP after level 50 (but still collecting marks), Falador offers 35k XP/hr with 11 marks/hr.
After completing Graceful: Follow the main path from level 60+ for optimal XP rates.
⚡ Fastest Path to 99
This is the absolute fastest way to train Agility, combining Brimhaven Arena with the Hallowed Sepulchre minigame.
Quick Path
- 1-20:Draynor Rooftop Course
- 20-72:Brimhaven Agility Arena
- 72-99:Hallowed Sepulchre
🏛️ Hallowed Sepulchre
The Hallowed Sepulchre is an Agility minigame (not just a course) unlocked after the Sins of the Father quest. It features 5 floors with unique obstacles requiring precise movement and pathing.
XP Rates by Level:
⚠️ Important: The Hallowed Sepulchre has a steep learning curve. You need good tick-perfect movement and pathing knowledge to achieve these XP rates.
Many players prefer traditional rooftop courses, but those who master the Sepulchre are rewarded with the best XP AND profit!
📺 Highly recommend watching a video guide before attempting this content!
🔄 Alternative Courses & Moneymakers
Level 50+: Colossal Wyrm (Varlamore)
A low-effort course in Varlamore with more animation time than other courses. Earn termites for the Varlamore Graceful recolor and blessed boneshards for Prayer XP.
CHILL & RELAXING💰 Level 52+: Wilderness Agility Course
High profit potential but comes with significant risk as it's located in the deep Wilderness. Consider joining "Agility FC" for mass protection.
⚠️ Warning: Expect PKers! Only bring items you're willing to lose.
Level 60+: Werewolf Agility Course
A small, click-intensive course. Retrieve and hand in the stick at the end for optimal XP. Great alternative to Seers Village, especially without the Hard Diary.
🆓 F2P Agility Guide
Limited Options in F2P
F2P has very limited Agility training options. You can only train at the Gnome Stronghold Agility Course from 1-99.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What's the fastest way to 99 Agility?
Hallowed Sepulchre from 92-99 (80-100k XP/hr). Before 92, do rooftop courses: Draynor 1-10, Canifis 40-60, Seers 60-90 (with Kandarin Hard Diary teleport).
When should I get the Graceful outfit?
Get it naturally while training on rooftop courses! You'll earn enough Marks of Grace around level 55-65. Don't grind specifically for it - just do rooftops as part of your training.
Is Graceful still worth it after run energy update?
Yes, but less essential! Graceful is still very useful for activities like running to bosses, doing farm runs, or anything where you need to run long distances. But for everyday gameplay, high Agility level alone provides good energy regeneration.
Should I do Hallowed Sepulchre or rooftop courses?
Hallowed Sepulchre is best XP (especially 92+), but requires focus and has a learning curve. Rooftops are more AFK and give Marks of Grace. Do rooftops for Graceful, then switch to Sepulchre at 82+ if you want maximum XP.
What Agility level should I aim for?
Level 70 unlocks most shortcuts and gives good run energy. Level 80+ recommended for PvM and efficient gameplay. Level 99 is mainly for completionism and max run energy regeneration.
Can I train Agility in F2P?
Yes, but it's extremely slow! F2P only has Gnome Stronghold (7.5k XP/hr). No Graceful outfit, no rooftops, no shortcuts. P2P is 6-7x faster - membership highly recommended for Agility training.
What are Marks of Grace used for?
Buy the Graceful outfit (260 marks total), recolor it with different themes (90 marks per recolor), or trade them for Amylase Crystals (10 marks = 100 crystals, ~10k GP each) for profit.
