Diary
The Western Provinces Achievement Diary includes all of the western side of the world map, such as Tree Gnome Stronghold, feldip Hills and Ape Atoll. The rewards are claimed from an NPC named Elder Gnome Child who can be found in Tree Gnome Stronghold.
The Western Provinces Diary covers the Tree Gnome Stronghold, Feldip Hills, Ape Atoll, Pest Control Island and Tirannwn. The Elder Gnome child, just south of the Grand Tree, hands out the rewards. Chompy bird kills gate several tiers, so expect to spend time hunting with an ogre bow. The tasks range from Gnome Ball and Pest Control games at the easy end to killing Zulrah and the Thermonuclear smoke devil for the elite tier.
The Western banner 1 to 4 is the reward. Easy gives a 25% chance of two chompy birds and 25 free ogre arrows daily. Medium raises the chompy chance to 50%, doubles the crystal saw to 56 charges and gives 50 arrows. Hard adds one daily Piscatoris Fishing Colony teleport, the elite void upgrade at 200 commendation points each, access to the monkey skull room and the private red chinchompa hunting ground, 5-charge teleport crystals and crystal halberds. Elite gives unlimited Piscatoris teleports, always two chompy birds, a 1/500 chompy chick pet, Duradel-level Slayer points from Nieve and Steve, and one daily Zulrah resurrection.
Prioritise the hard tier for the elite void upgrade and the private red chinchompa hunting ground, both strong PvM unlocks, then the elite tier for the free Zulrah resurrection. If you use void for bossing, the hard tier's elite void upgrade alone justifies the effort, since it adds a Prayer bonus and a damage boost to the top and robe. Reaching elite needs 93 Slayer, 85 Agility, Thieving and Fletching, and 1,000 chompy or jubbly bird kills, so it is a genuine long-term goal.
