- The ability to defeat a level 172 Black demon (safespottable for Ranged and Magic or melee using a halberd).

- 1,000 coins if you previously chose not to help Femi on your first entry to the Tree Gnome Stronghold (not required if you never used the gate entrance)

- Tree Gnome Stronghold to start the quest, plus 2 additional trips - spirit tree from Grand Exchange or Battlefield, slayer ring to the Stronghold Slayer Cave, Balloon Transport System, or necklace of passage to the Outpost
- Hazelmere's house (1 trip) - fairy ring, Watchtower Teleport, Teleport to House (Yanille), Minigame Teleport to Nightmare Zone or Fishing Trawler, Ardougne cloak 1-4 to Ardougne Monastery, or ring of dueling to Castle Wars

- Completing this quest awards the player with 5 Kudos which can be claimed by talking to Historian Minas in the Varrock Museum.
- Black demon accessible in the Nightmare Zone.
