A Tail of Two Cats is a Dragonkin quest that uncovers Bob the cat's past and rewards two 2,500 XP antique lamps and a mouse toy. It requires Icthlarin's Little Helper but has no skill requirements.

Walkthrough

- Start the hunt. Equip the catspeak amulet and talk to Unferth in eastern Burthorpe, then talk to Hild to enchant it for 5 death runes.
- Find Bob. Use the enchanted catspeak amulet to locate Bob, who can be anywhere in Misthalin, Asgarnia and the northern Kharidian Desert.
- Learn his lineage. Talk to Bob, then Gertrude south of the Cooks' Guild, then Reldo in the Varrock Palace library.
- Visit the Sphinx. Travel to Sophanem (buy the desert outfit if needed) and ask the Sphinx to hypnotise Bob and reveal his memories of Robert the Strong.
- Bob's chores. Return to Unferth and rake and plant four potato seeds, make the bed, light the fireplace, use cake and milk on the table, and use shears on Unferth.
- The placebo. Get a vial of water and a doctor's or nurse hat from the Varrock Apothecary, wear white robes and convince Unferth the water is a cure.
- Finish up. Find Bob again, watch the cutscene, then talk to Unferth outside his house.
