Zorya's Tome OSRS: Stats, Special Attack & Drop Rate

Zorya's Tome is the Fractured Archive's magic unique. It is an 85 Magic two-handed powered staff built around a special attack, not a staff you camp for sustained damage.

The tome's value is the burst window. Its special gives you three accelerated, boosted attacks that you can spread across targets, which gives magic a DPS spec option alongside the volatile Nightmare Staff.

It requires 85 Magic and occupies both hands. The base max hit of 18 is below the Eye of Ayak for sustained damage. The staff is designed to be swapped in for its special, then swapped back.

How the special attack works

• The special gives 150% increased accuracy and 60% increased damage.
• If the special hits, your next three attacks gain the same accuracy and damage boost and fire at a 2-tick rate.
• The buff sits on you rather than on the target, so you can spread the three boosted attacks across different enemies.
• The damage comes from the empowered burst, not the first hit.

Use the special at the start of a burst window, fire the three boosted attacks, then swap back to your main staff. Do not stay on the tome after the buff expires unless you need its prayer bonus.

How to get Zorya's Tome

Zorya's Tome is a unique drop from the Fractured Archive, the fourth OSRS raid. The raid requires While Guthix Sleeps and supports 2-8 players.

The overall unique rate is not published. Once a unique drops, the conditional split is Rondache 5/15, Zorya's Tome 4/15, Horn of Bran 3/15, Ascension crossbows 2/15 and the Obligator 1/15.

Is Zorya's Tome worth it?

The tome is a specialist weapon, not an upgrade to your everyday magic setup. It is worth buying when:

• You already have a stable magic weapon and want a burst spec for raids and boss phases.
• Your group can use the three boosted attacks on a single target without losing ticks.
• You value the +2 Prayer bonus on the swap.

It is not worth camping. The Eye of Ayak and other powered staves beat it for sustained damage, and the tome's 3-tick base attack does not compensate for the lower max hit.

The Nightmare Staff remains the alternative magic spec. The tome's advantage is that the buff follows you, so it works on target switches and multi-target phases.

Charging and tradeable status

Zorya's Tome is tradeable only when fully uncharged. A charged tome cannot be sold on the Grand Exchange. Check the charge state before you buy one.

The tome uses the same tradeable-when-uncharged pattern as the Obligator, Rondache and Ascension crossbows.
