The Feud is an Intermediate medium quest that rewards 15,000 Thieving experience and 500 coins. It requires 30 Thieving (not boostable).

  • The ability to kill a level 70 bandit and a level 75 Menaphite (both can be safespotted).

Items Needed

  • 501+ coins
  • Gloves - (see this page for gloves that do work; Barrows gloves, ice gloves, vambraces, and Slayer gloves do not work!)
  • Kharidian headpiece (can be bought from Ali Morrisane)
  • Fake beard (can be bought from Ali Morrisane)
  • 3 beers (obtainable during the quest, bought from Ali the Barman for 2 coins each)
  • Bucket or Ugthanki dung (obtainable during the quest, spawns at the location it is needed – bring three extra buckets, four total, if you plan on doing My Arm's Big Adventure as three Ugthanki dung are needed for that quest). One more might be needed for Forgettable Tale.. (1/25 chance for each player).
  • Snake charm (obtainable during the quest by putting a coin in the snake charmer's money pot, if you do not already have one in your bank)
  • If you have the snake charm in your bank already, you will need to retrieve it.
  • Snake basket (obtainable during quest by putting a coin in the snake charmer's money pot, whether or not you have one in your bank)

Walkthrough

  1. Getting Started. Talk to Ali Morrisane next to the Silk Stall in Al Kharid. Buy a kharidian headpiece and a fake beard and combine them.
  2. Pollnivneach. Head to Pollnivneach. Use the 3 beers on Drunken Ali at the bar. (Make sure to use one beer on him, then talk to him in full, then use the second beer, talk in full, then finally the third beer, and talk in full.) Note: Don't skip dialogue after giving a beer. You can buy them from Ali the Barman.
  3. Camels. Head to the camel store just north-west of the bar. Talk to Ali the Camel Man to buy the camels for 500 coins. You will need two free spaces in your inventory. Talk to a Menaphite and a bandit to give them each a receipt.
  4. Pickpocketing. Go to Ali the Operator and ask to join his gang (big purple tent, south-west) Attempt to pickpocket a villager once then return to Ali the Operator. Talk to the street urchin near the centre town well.
  5. Jewels. Talk to Ali the Operator. Put on the desert disguise and gloves. Hide behind the large cactus near the mayor's house (the large house to the East by the fountain).
  6. Traitor. Talk to a Menaphite Thug. Talk to Ali the Operator. Talk to Ali the barman.
  7. Dealing with the thugs. Prepare for battle and talk to the Menaphite Leader (just outside the tent). Kill the Tough Guy (level 75) (safespot behind bush). He drops a willow blackjack. Talk to a villager.

Both can be safespotted - the level 75 Tough Guy behind the table inside the Menaphite tent, and the level 70 Bandit Champion behind the crate near the Rug Merchant.

06Which gloves work for The Feud?

Barrows gloves, ice gloves, vambraces and Slayer gloves do not work for cracking the safe, so bring an ordinary pair of gloves.

07What does The Feud unlock?

It unlocks the Rogue Trader miniquest, is required for My Arm's Big Adventure and the Hard Desert Diary, and lets you pickpocket villagers, bandits and Menaphite thugs in Pollnivneach.
