- Enter the mine. Talk to the Zealot outside the Abandoned Mine and pickpocket him for the zealot's key. Climb over the cart and crawl through the tunnels to reach the inner mine.
- Light the fungus. Descend the ladders, pick a glowing fungus, and place it in the searchable cart to the north-west. Do not accept random events that teleport you out or the fungus turns to ash.
- Cart puzzle. Check the points settings board, pull the correct levers (A-E and F-K) to match the required configuration, and click start to open the way.
- Retrieve the fungus. Exit and re-enter the cave via the southern entrance, descend the ladders, and search the cart to recover the glowing fungus. Keep it until the quest is complete.
- Open the water valve. Use the zealot's key on the water valve, then run to the lift before the water rises. Take the lift down, head through the door and pick up the innocent-looking key to start the boss.
- Defeat Treus Dayth. Pray Protect from Missiles and force Treus Dayth into the north-eastern corner, then attack from the end of the northern shaft. Take the key, then use the glowing fungus to light the way and cut the crystal outcrop with your chisel.
