A Soul's Bane opens Tolna's rift for combat training and is a short Intermediate quest. It needs no skills, only a rope and a weapon, but ends with a fight against three level 46 heads.

Walkthrough

- Enter the rift. Talk to Launa by the rift north-east of Varrock and enter it with a rope. Do not click outside the text boxes or you will return to the surface.
- Room of Anger. Kill monsters with the matching weapons from the rack until the rage bar is full; the cutscene grants 40 Attack experience.
- Room of Fear. Search the dark holes clockwise and kill 5 fear reapers (level 42), then enter the black hole to the west.
- Room of Confusion. Attack confusion beasts (level 43) until you find the one that takes damage and defeat it. Use a fast weapon to clear the fakes quickly.
- Room of Hopelessness. Kill every hopeless creature (level 40) three times each, then cross the bridge to face Tolna.
- Defeat Tolna. Finish the cutscene before attacking the three level 46 heads (Protect from Melee or Missiles), then talk to Tolna and again on the surface.
