- Fast travel to Brimhaven to start the quest - Brimhaven teleport, Teleport to House (Brimhaven), 30 coins to travel from Ardougne docks using Captain Barnaby, or take a charter ship
- 30 coins to travel from Brimhaven docks with Captain Barnaby to Ardougne. This is the recommended route to Ardougne as you end up by the next part of the quest, but you can otherwise use an Ardougne Teleport
Walkthrough

- Travel to Ardougne , and head. Travel to Ardougne (you can take a ship from Brimhaven to complete an easy Karamja Diary task), and head to the GPDT depot just south of the eastern bank. Investigate the most north-eastern crate for the address label.
- Use the label on the crate. Use the label on the crate located 2 tiles to the south of the first crate. Talk to a GPDT employee.
- Talk to Wizard Cromperty in the. Talk to Wizard Cromperty in the house north-east of the Ardougne market with the checkered floor., or if you have completed the medium or higher Ardougne diaries. Go west 2 doors and enter the password KURT. If you click too quickly it will say "This combination is incorrect", try again slower.
- Right-click Investigate the stairs, requiring 21. Right-click Investigate the stairs, requiring 21 Thieving, then climb them. Search the chest on the top floor for the totem. You must finish the dialogue.
- Return to Kangai Mau. Return to Kangai Mau. Congratulations, quest complete!
