- Shears if gathering and spinning the wool (obtained during the quest)

- Start the quest. Talk to Fred the Farmer north of Lumbridge; he gives you shears if you don't have any.
- Shear the sheep. Enter the sheep pen east of his house and shear sheep for 20 wool. You cannot shear Rams or 'The Thing'.
- Spin the wool. Go to the 1st floor of Lumbridge Castle and use the spinning wheel in the southern room to spin 20 balls of wool.
- Finish the quest. Return to Fred the Farmer with 20 un-noted balls of wool.
