- The black crystal. Talk to Arianwyn in Lletya, then in mourner gear talk to Essyllt in West Ardougne for the new key. Run west through the cave, search a guard corpse for Edern's journal and chip a piece from the black crystal with a chisel.
- Enchant the crystal. Return to Arianwyn to enchant the crystal, then go back to the Temple of Light and climb the eastern stairs to the middle floor.
- First puzzle. Use the rope on the rocks, drop the key and reset the crystal dispenser. Arrange mirrors 1-4 (north, west, south, east) and place the crystal to turn the light yellow, then cross the gap and open the chest.
- Second and third puzzles. Reset and repeat with the correct mirror directions to turn the light cyan and green, then do not reset. Place mirror 5 pointing up and light the blue beam, then work mirrors 6-8 down to the bottom floor.
- Fourth puzzle. Reset the puzzle and set mirrors 1-4 to route the yellow light, remove mirror 4, rotate mirror 3 upward and place mirror 4 pointing south to complete the light path.
- Death Altar. Set mirrors 1-10 to route the light to the Death Altar, rotate mirror 14 west and enter the altar. Use the uncharged crystal on the altar, then the charged crystal on the black crystal, and finally talk to Arianwyn in Lletya.
