- Start the quest. Talk to Abigale in the south-east corner of Lumbridge Swamp and offer your help, then take the rowboat further south.
- Enter the manor. Use the bucket on the barrel of rainwater west of the manor, take the manor key from the barrel and unlock the manor doors.
- Solve the first riddle. Read the note by the pink-knob door, slash the gloomy painting with a knife for the ruby key, then light the four candles and the barrel fuse in the south-east room.
- Solve the second riddle. Climb through the damaged wall and observe the tree, then play D-E-A-D on the piano and search it for the emerald key.
- Solve the third riddle. Open the green-knob door, slash the fireplace with a knife and enter the gem order Sapphire-Diamond-Zenyte-Emerald-Onyx-Ruby for the sapphire key.
- Confront the killer. Open the blue-knob door, push the mirror to face the wardrobe the killer hides in until the cutscene plays, then take the killer's knife and attack Abigale.
- Finish the quest. Attempt to exit the room, then talk to Mandy outside the manor.
