Dagannoth Prime is a boss trio in thedagannoth kings bracket. Dagannoth Kings reward rotation control and combat-style coordination.
Prime is weak to Ranged and resistant to everything else, so a twisted bow, Bow of Faerdhinen or crossbow is the right tool. His attack is AoE, meaning standing next to whoever he targets gets you hit too, and he can hit around 50 without prayer. The combat triangle pushes rangers toward the north-east corner of the lair, away from Rex.
For a first kill, use long-range Ranged so you can keep your distance, activate Protect from Magic before he attacks, and never fight him while Supreme is also attacking because the combined damage kills quickly. If Supreme respawns, kill it or leave rather than tanking both. Staying by the seaweed keeps Rex safely out of range.
