01How are pet drop rates calculated?
Boss pets have fixed drop rates (e.g., Zulrah pet is 1/4000 per kill). Skilling pets use a formula based on your level and the activity: rate = (Base Chance) × (Level Factor) per action. Higher levels give better odds for skilling pets.
02What pet is the easiest to get?
Skotizo pet has the best drop rate at 1/65, and the boss has obvious respawn markers, making it quick to farm for the pet. The Chompy chick is also easy but requires a lot of chompy kills. For skilling pets, Tangleroot and Rocky are obtainable at low levels.
03Do skilling pets share the same rate?
All skilling pets use a formula based on your level and activity (rate = base chance − level × 25), so they don't have fixed rates like boss pets. Skilling pets aren't included in this calculator because the rate changes with your level. For boss pets, the rates shown here are confirmed from the OSRS Wiki.
04What's the best way to get the Giant Squirrel pet?
The Giant Squirrel is the Agility skilling pet, so its rate scales with your level and the course you run. The Penguin Agility Course is currently the most efficient source.
