Question 1

How long does 50-99 Firemaking take at Wintertodt?

Accepted Answer

Approximately 40-50 hours depending on your efficiency and starting level. At 250K XP/hour (achievable at high levels), you're looking at about 47 hours from 50-99. Lower level players may need 55-65 hours due to reduced XP per round.

Question 2

Should I do Wintertodt with low HP or high HP?

Accepted Answer

Low HP (10-30) is significantly more efficient as damage scales with your maximum HP. With low HP, you'll use significantly less food (1-3 pieces per round) compared to 70+ HP accounts (10-15+ pieces per round).

Question 3

Is Wintertodt profitable?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Wintertodt is one of the most profitable training methods for any skill. Supply crates average 3-5K GP each, and you'll earn 40-60 crates per hour, translating to 150-250K GP profit hourly. From 50-99, expect 7-12M GP in loot value.

Question 4

Should I fletch bruma roots?

Accepted Answer

Yes, always fletch bruma roots into kindling before burning them. This provides 50% more points (15 vs 10) per root with minimal time cost. Only skip fletching if Wintertodt's energy is critically low and braziers need immediate attention.

Question 5

What level should I open supply crates?

Accepted Answer

Loot from supply crates scales with your skill levels (Farming, Herblore, Fishing, Woodcutting). Many players save crates until they have high stats or are maxed for the best possible rewards.

Question 6

How rare is the Phoenix pet from Wintertodt?

Accepted Answer

The Phoenix pet has a 1/5000 drop rate per supply crate roll. With approximately 50 crates per hour, you have about a 1% chance per hour of gameplay. Most players obtain the Phoenix during or shortly after reaching 99 Firemaking.

Question 7

How many Wintertodt runs should I do per day?

Accepted Answer

Most players do 4-10 runs daily depending on session length. Consistent daily runs are one of the easiest ways to bank stable Firemaking XP and loot value.
