Effective Strength = floor(floor(Level × Prayer Multiplier) + Style Bonus + 8). Base Max Hit = floor(0.5 + Effective × (Equipment Bonus + 64) / 640). Equipment, enemy-specific, and HP-based multipliers are applied after the base calculation.
02What is the max possible hit in OSRS?
The highest confirmed hits are: 120 with Dharok's + Salve (ei) vs undead + Dragon battleaxe spec, 106 with Dharok's + DBA spec (no Salve), and 104 with Dharok's alone (no DBA spec). These require max Strength, BiS gear, Piety, and optimal HP for Dharok's multiplier.
03Do Salve and Slayer helmet stack?
No. Salve amulet (ei), Slayer helmet (i), and Black mask (i) bonuses do not stack with each other. Only the highest applicable bonus is used. Void Melee also does not stack with Salve or Slayer bonuses.
04How does Dharok's set bonus work?
Dharok's multiplies your max hit based on missing HP: multiplier = 1 + (MaxHP − CurrentHP) / 100 × MaxHP / 100. At 1 HP with 99 MaxHP, that's ~1.98× damage. At half HP (49/99), it's ~1.49×. The calculator uses 1 HP for the max potential estimate.
05Does the Dragon battleaxe spec stack with potions?
Yes. The Dragon battleaxe special attack temporarily boosts Strength by roughly 10-25 additional levels on top of any potion boost. This makes it a key component of the highest max hits in the game, especially combined with Dharok's set.
06How do Elemental amulets affect magic max hit?
Elemental amulets (Sept 2026) add +10 Magic Accuracy and a flat +2 to the max hit of their element's spells (combined amulet covers all elements). The +2 applies after Elemental Weakness and Magic Damage % bonuses, so it matters most at low max hits. Add +2 flat to your modelled max hit for elemental spells when wearing one.
